There are many ways for you to make an impact as a Tiqvah volunteer! The most valuable resource you have to offer a child is your time. Below you will find some basic information regarding programming and our many opportunities for you to get involved.
There are Three simple steps to becoming a Tiqvah volunteer
Read these provided documents. Upon arrival at Tiqvah, you will be asked to sign verifying they have been read.
Fill our the volunteer application.
Be prepared to provide a recent background check (two years or less) when contacted about an orientation.
General Programming Schedule
Tiqvah provides programming Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday.
4:00p Arrival and Snack
4:20p Go Time
4:50p Homework Time
Tuesdays schedule varies due to enrichment.
What does a volunteer do?
There are several roles a volunteer can take at Tiqvah. On the application you will be asked to choose one or more that appeal to you. We require at least an hour a week to encourage the development of relationships with the students. No matter what job you take on as a volunteer, the most important element in knowing our kids. Whether you volunteer to cook/serve a meal, drive a van, help with homework, or simply spend time; we ask all of our helpers to put great effort into getting to know our kids and encouraging them.
